'Space Oddity' is a trail event suitable for all abilities, set in the stunning Hurn Forest, Dorset; a David Bowie-themed journey along the forest trails with a flexible blast-off between 8-9:30am. There is an 7-hour cut-off, so your mission will be complete by 3pm latest . Participants can rocket & shuttle on a 5K lap & choose their distance on the day - from 5K to Ultra-marathon. Bag drop & facilities available at Hopsital Services cricket club clubhouse adjacent to the start/finish.
The 'out and back' route follows the main forest track, offering participants the opportunity to choose their own distance, from 5K to ultra-marathon. All finishers of one lap or more will receive a medal.
Trail shoes are recommended but not essential as the track is hardstanding and well maintained.

20% of entry costs will go to Forestry England to support maintenance of the nation's forests and trails.
We offer flexible start times between 8am and 9.30am. Just turn up when you're ready to run. All participants to finish by 3pm (maximum 7 hours). Number pick-up is on the day at race registration before you start the event.
We will have an aid and drinks station at the start/finish of each lap, with a selection of savoury and sweet items. There will also be an area to leave your own items to avoid any kit or fuel-ralated anxiety. Please note we do not provide plastic cups; bring your own.
Toilets are available at the cricket club.
Final instructions will be sent out via email before the event with full race day information. Laps are a 5.3km / 3.28 mile, out and back, course.
Please note, this event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules. as per UK Athletics rules, distance restrictions apply to participants ages 20 or under.

Where possible we encourage all runners to utilise public transport or car share.
Please car share if at all possible. Parking is very limited near start / finish area. A public car park is available on Boundary Lane (0.4 miles from start).
Morebus offer a bus service to the area; nearest bus stop is St. Leonard's Hospital.
Nearest train stations are Bournemouth and Branksome (both 8.1 miles from start).
