Weirdly enjoyable despite the driving rain and wind! That was because everyone was so friendly and encouraging. I often feel daunted entering races but this format let me decide how far to run actually during the event, which takes all the pressure away.
Each runner can do their own distance, it gave me the confidence to achieve my own goal. The dedicated soundtrack was great too. Looking forward to the next one.

Novelty and ingenious ideas such as hair ties to mark each lap and playing the event instrument to mark your chosen distance conclusion.

Great partcipant joining instructions paint a very clear visualisation of what to expect and a massively stocked refreshment table is a boon.

Having the option to be unsure of the distance is great so your body can inform your effort on the day.

The mix of personal goals for the participants were obvious for the inclusiveness of the event. Folk in costume preparing for marathons to come, folk with walking poles to increase distance, folk 'jeffing' for increased endurance. All welcome to their own challenge and distance.

Great, and encouraging marshals strategically placed and a view to die for, when it's not raining.

A hugely enjoyable first time out at a Long Player Running event, feeling supported and valued.

It was a friendly and welcoming company. Who treated everyone like they had always knew them! Atmosphere was amazing! Every time we finished a lap they cheered us on by name which to me it was personalised. That we were a person not just a runner!

Only the 2nd race here but I felt like I belonged and the organisers cared about me. Every lap I was asked how I felt and nothing was too much trouble. The many public toilets along the course helped my nerves too. Thank you so much.

Loved this local race, the out and back loop meant that you were constantly seeing other participants, which kept the motivation going. My only regret was that a prior injury meant I could only to two of the four laps I was hoping to. The aid station was as well stocked as ever, and seeing the junior race was very heart-warming.
